Day: Departure
Our final day was essentially a second half day in Iceland. With a afternoon flight to catch it gave us little time to do much exploring. We spent our final ours in Reykjavík buying (and writing) postcards, and searching for some nice Icelandic wool garments. We did have a chance to do one final walk around the city before heading off back to the airport.
These five days in Iceland felt like 5 weeks. We had extremely full days, and covered some immense territory. I am actually amazed we were able to pull the whole thing off with only minor troubles. All in all though the trip was simply amazing, and 5 days was incredibly too short. It gave us a taste of what Iceland has to offer, but there was a lot left unexplored. Even so this will go down as one memorable trip.
If you are looking for an amazing place to visit, with incredible scenery and a vibrant culture, Iceland should be put on the top of your list. Now with the very inexpensive flights to and from Iceland you would be silly not to consider it as your next travel destination.
