Day: 1

We landed into Iceland around 3pm. There was a heavy veil of fog covering the country that had us a little worried about the weather for the trip. After picking up our rental car we purchased groceries for the trip, and got to try the much talked about Icelandic hot dog (or in Icelandic pylsa). Having decided on the flight to go counter clockwise around Iceland, we then departed for the Blue Lagoon, where we would soak in one of the natural hotsprings of Iceland. After our soak we made our way east stopping along the way to make ourselves our first bean dinner. We drove a little bit further, stopping just outside of Selfoss, where we spent our first night sleeping in the car.
